Laziness, complacency and swallowing WHAT EVER the media tells you to as the gospel seems to be the new social order here in the U.S.
Remember the days when people would actually look into an issue and do some research about it and then form an opinion based on given facts? Well, some of us still believe that is sound policy and look into issues and do the digging for truth instead of becoming brain dead lemmings.
Domestic Dog Breed Temperament Testing: American Temperament Test Society- www.ATTS.org
All Major animal welfare organizations denounce the use of breed specific bans or restriction to enforce public safety- http://www.TeamPitAfull.org/ThoseInTheKnow.html
American Veterinary Medicine Association Conducts survey of 50 year study of dog bites-

Get the facts before passing judgement or forming ignorance based opinion.

Should cities ban or limit Pit Bull ownership? Ban Pit Bulls vs Don't Ban Pit Bulls

Lots of cities have banned or limited Pit Bull ownership based on the idea that they pose a danger to citizens, children, etc. Should these laws stand? Do you agree with local governments singling out a breed of dog and making it illegal to own one? What precautions would you recommend?
The reason I ask is because I have seen Pit Bulls interact and play with children for years. They can be some of the best, kindest, and most loyal animals. That loyalty is often cited as the reason for their "dark side" and protective instincts. I've just never seen it that way. I wish Pit Bull owners would not teach their dogs to be aggressive and give the breed a bad name.
I was just curious what other dog owners and people think about this situation.
